One of the most challenging aspects of the movie business is deciding what type of film to make. We're developing films that exhibit the following traits:

• Mass market appeal. All Gryphon Films productions will be targeted at large audiences with wide-ranging demographics.
   
• Purposeful, but not "artsy". Art films have a small audience, usually consisting of hardcore movie buffs. While these types of films are sometimes well-made and can attract attention, they do not appeal to the mass market and it is extremely rare for one to break out.
   
• Different, not cliché. Films that contain something that is new or rare, or that are effective in their simplicity.
