Synopsis:

Chuck Burke enjoys the good life in suburban New Jersey. He drinks, smokes, gambles, curses, drives like a maniac and flirts with girls one third his age. He dines and dashes, leeches off his son, Dennis, and prematurely put his own father in a nursing home. From all of this, he takes an impish victorious glee.

But when Chuck breaks up the relationship between his son Dennis and his Dennis’s longtime girlfriend, his son, at age 30, has finally had enough. Convinced that being a jerk is hereditary, Dennis gets a vasectomy to avoid passing on his father’s genes. Bad timing. In the hospital immediately following his operation, Dennis meets the woman of his dreams, a nurse named Daphne who loves children and desires a big family.

Dennis, a successful veterinarian, makes one final quest for redemption. He must come to terms with the question that has defined his life: is being a jerk genetic or is it a matter of choice? And if it’s a matter of choice, how can he possibly win Daphne considering his new medical “circumstances?”

Five Generations of Jerks is a family comedy, midway between Meet The Parents and Just Married with a touch of Jackass tossed in. It presents ideal casting possibilities for an A-list father-son acting team. It is impossible to read this script without laughing out loud.
